For the past three years we have been installing TigerMulch pathways for one of the UK’s leading providers of residential care homes. To date we have laid pathways in the grounds of seven of their homes. One of the most recent projects was to lay TigerMulch at their brand new Bourne View care home in Poole Dorset, an £8 million investment in a beautiful art deco-style building.
The customer prepares their own base works using their in house construction teams, and we then lay the TigerMulch onto their substrates.
At Bourne View we made two visits. The first was for a pathway that wrapped around the building, providing residents with an incredibly attractive, natural – looking pathway, blending in perfectly with the high quality landscaping, which is the hallmark of the group’s homes. It has proved comfortable to walk on and is impact absorbing in case of falls but, in particular, TigerMulch’s excellent non-slip properties provide residents with a pathway where they can be sure-footed, even on fairly steep slopes.
The second visit was to lay TigerMulch to a set of steps leading up to a higher level. Again, the natural look and the non-slip characteristics meant that TigerMulch was the obvious choice
