Rubber Pathways

Redlynch Leisure has over 20 years experience in designing and installing rubber pathways for a variety of customers and uses.

TigerMulch surfacing  is our industry leading bound rubber mulch surface. With its natural looks and excellent non slip, hard wearing properties it makes for the ideal surface for ‘Mile A Day’ tracks on a school playground or playing field. See below for further information on Mile A Day tracks. It has also been used as a pathway surface in holiday parks, care homes and golf courses.

Unlike many companies, we strongly recommend installing a pathway onto a well constructed aggregate sub base, to ensure subsiding, cracking and puddling do not become problems just a short time after installation. Although a more expensive option at the start, this will undoubtedly save money in the longer term.

For a more formal look, Flexipath, a mix of rubber coated granules and natural coloured aggregates, can be the perfect pathway for many locations.

TigerMulch – Bound Rubber Mulch

Rubber Mulch is a material that offers several benefits to a site visitor when used. This includes wheelchair accessibility, pathway permeability as well as slip resistance. These benefits lend itself to be used as a rubber pathway option for several commercial sites such as parks and playgrounds.

TigerMulch is a particular brand of rubber mulch which is designed to look like real bark or mulch you may see elsewhere. Our rubber bark and rubber mulch alternatives give you long term reliability and comfort for your visitors. Being rubber based, TigerMulch has an element of weather resistance associated with it meaning our pathways can be used all year round without getting flooded. The natural look we have worked to achieve in our rubber mulch blends well in both rural and urban settings.

We are proud of our work with TigerMulch and are now one of a number of limited license holders found in the UK for this bonded rubber mulch surface. TigerMulch is made using old lorry tyres. This sustainable manufacturing choice provides you with a recycled rubber pathway which can help fulfill green and sustainability initiatives you may have in your business.

FlexiPath

FlexiPath is a rubber pathway solution we developed to create smart looking and hard wearing surfaces around your business or active space. Using a mixture of black rubber granules and natural coloured gravel, depending on your needs, our FlexiPath solution makes for a great alternative to our FlexiPath rubber mulch installations.

Whilst the benefits are very similar, the aesthetic is different. Our rubber mulch pathways follow natural colour palettes whereas a FlexiPath surface can be as bright and patterned as needed! Highly porous and slip resistant, FlexiPath rubber pathways are popular in areas that often endure high footfall and other traffic.

Redlynch Leisure can Help

TigerMulch makes an excellent surface for a Mile A Day track. It has a natural look, is soft underfoot, very non – slip and very durable.

As the Mile a Day is a year round activity, grass surfaces can turn to a muddy mess and concrete or tarmac can be quite hard on knee and ankle joints.

Some low cost solutions have poor longevity (frequently resulting from some companies insisting such surfaces can be laid without a suitable sub base to provide support and drainage a complete fallacy in almost all locations). Combine our TigerMulch pathway surface with our expertise in constructing free draining and long lasting sub bases for a Mile A Day track that will provide service for many years to come.

As a specialist in resin bound surfaces with over 20 years experience we can advise you in the most cost effective Mile A Day Track for your school.
