A hard wearing pathway & buggy track surface

Pathways play a crucial role in the functionality and preservation of golf courses. They not only safeguard the greens and fairways but also serve as important circulation routes for visitors. By offering clearly defined routes, these pathways minimise disturbances to other players while protecting environmentally sensitive areas.

However, natural pathways require ongoing maintenance to counteract uneven wear and erosion, particularly caused by carts and trolleys in inclement weather conditions. Concrete and aggregates can appear stark and out of place, while coloured rubber often fails to harmonise with the natural surroundings. To address these challenges, Redlynch Leisure has introduced TigerTrak—an innovative and durable solution that reduces the need for pathway maintenance while providing optimal walkways throughout the year. With TigerTrak, golf courses can enjoy efficient, long-lasting pathways that blend seamlessly with the environment, ensuring an enhanced experience for players and preserving the course’s natural beauty.

An extremely versatile surface

The overall effect is to create a highly decorative surface that will do its job for many years. When laid TigerTrak is slightly soft underfoot, making it a comfortable surface for pedestrians and strong enough to accommodate buggy traffic.

TigerTrak is extremely versatile and can be used in many areas of the course:

• Pathway or buggy track
• On slopes
• Over link bridges
• Woodland settings

The resin bound rubber mulch is the ideal surface for carts and buggies. Depending on ground conditions a compacted sub base may be advisable. The grass perimeter can be allowed to knit into the TigerTrak, making the effect even more natural without the need for edging.

Colour variations

Rubber mulch paths have become increasingly popular on golf courses, providing both functionality and aesthetic appeal. These paths offer golfers a reliable and comfortable surface to traverse while enjoying their game. The availability of rubber mulch paths in shades of green and earth yellow further enhances their integration with the natural surroundings of the golf course.

The green paths seamlessly blend with the lush fairways and greens, offering a cohesive visual experience. The colours on offer for our rubber mulch pathways are somewhat limited as we aim to make it more natural looking. Redlynch does however provide colourful wet pour rubber that could be used as a pathway alternative if bright and vibrant is something you’re after. Whilst different to rubber mulch, it still provides similar benefits such as all weather and comfortable underfoot.
