Ideal for Many Uses

Wet Pour Rubber

Wet pour surfacing is a mixture of rubber granules and a polyurethane resin (or binder). It forms a continuous surface that is both durable and is aesthetically pleasing. With its impact absorbing and non-slip qualities, wet pour surfacing has seen regular application in educational and leisure facilities. Our case studies highlight the clients we have worked with including schools, medical facilities and even a water park.

Redlynch have been a wet pour rubber flooring supplier since 1997, helping clients with the process and installation of wet pour rubber. We are proud of the reputation we have built during our time within the industry and are widely recognised for our expert knowledge, genuine advice and professional installations. Working with you rather than for you, Redlynch aims to help you piece together your dream playground for all to enjoy.

The operatives in our team have been working with us from the very start, not only does this mean they understand our way of working but are some of the most experienced in the country. On all projects big and small, all of our wet pour rubber flooring installations are given the time, love and care to create a high quality and safe finish that you can be proud of.

What is wet pour rubber surfacing?

Wet pour rubber surfacing is a flexible two-course safety surface.
The first layer of wet pour surfacing is non slip. Known as the ‘wearing’ course, it consists of tough and durable EPDM rubber granules mixed with a polyurethane binder. These clean cut and clean faced granules provide a well bonded surface with a high tensile strength that will prove to be extremely durable.

The second layer, also referred to as the base course, comprises of granulated recycled rubber and polyurethane laid to varying depths dependent on the equipment on top of it. The softer base layer cushions the fall, progressively deforming and lengthening the impact over time and distance.

When everything has been laid and given time to set, the wet pour surfacing forms a shock absorbing surface perfect for sports and physical activities. These surfaces are a fantastic all weather surface as the rubber forms a porous surface. In particular, wet pour rubber provides a fantastic solution to wet pour playground surfacing concerns thanks to its versatility.

Whilst providing a playing surface for commercial spaces, wet pour rubber surfaces are also great for introducing colour to an area. Unlike asphalt, wet pour surfacing can be shaped to fit patterns and graphics like our work with royal stoke hospital and new forest water park. Check out the choices on our colour options page.

How Much Does

Wet Pour Surfacing Cost?

  • Critical fall height (this determines the depth of the wet pour)
  • Colour
  • Access to the area
  • Pattern work and graphics

As an example price, if we say that approximately 100m2 were to be laid, the cost would be between £40 – £140 /m2 + VAT. To get a better understanding of costs for your project, it will be best to Contact our friendly team today.

BPC found Redlynch to be extremely approachable, professional and flexible throughout the whole process. And in comparison to other vendors, BPC's view was that they were able to offer considerable "playability" from their range at good value.

BPC would not hesitate to recommend Redlynch.
