Redlynch Leisure is a leading provider of specialist surfacing and play equipment to the outdoor leisure industry. Operating predominantly in the southern counties, the Birmingham area and Wales, we pride ourselves on delivering unrivalled service to our loyal customers. Direct Control

At every stage

Unlike most companies in our industry, every stage of a project is managed in house, with nothing outsourced or sub-contracted. All installations carried out and safety surfacing laid is done by our directly employed team of specialists, meaning sub-contractor costs are not being marked up and we have direct control over quality at every stage of the process.

Our wet pour, bonded rubber mulch and artificial grass surfaces have a great reputation in the industry. We are one of a limited number of TigerMulch license holders in the country – the recognised industry leading system in bonded rubber mulch.

Redlynch Leisure’s are members of the Association of Play Industries (API). This esteemed membership not only recognises Redlynch Leisure’s commitment to enhancing outdoor recreational spaces but also highlights their dedication to promoting safe and innovative play experiences.

As a member of the API, Redlynch Leisure gains access to a vast network of industry professionals, enabling them to collaborate, share knowledge, and contribute to the continuous improvement of playground standards. All our workforce are CSCS qualified and DBS checked, and we hold Constructionline Gold and CHAS qualifications and are members of ROSPA. Our foreman hold either SMSTS or SSSTS as a prerequisite.

How we do it

Our standards

All of our playground safety surfaces are built and installed in accordance with the relevant European Standards – EN1176 & 1177 (surfacing) which harmonise national standards.

Playground equipment is tested to the relevant TUV Standard. You can be sure that every product has been designed to allow children to develop their strength and personalities while minimising the potential for harm.

The environment

The major component of our safety surfacing is shredded lorry tyre rubber. By recycling and reusing scrap tyres we are creatively using material which would otherwise go to landfill. This also minimises the consumption of precious natural resources.

Material quantities are calculated and measured carefully on each project, using only sufficient materials for each wet pour. Any surplus product is returned to the depot for reuse.

Each day around 100,000 worn tyres are removed from cars, vans and lorries, totalling 46 million used tyres each year (Source: WRAP).

Health & safety

Safety is the top priority for Redlynch. We don’t compromise on the health and welfare of the public and our employees.

We fully comply with all our responsibilities under relevant legislation and the Construction Design and Management (CDM) regulations. Our health and safety systems and standards have been assessed and approved by the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS), trusted by public and private organisations throughout the UK.

SO WHAT DOES THAT MEAN IN PRACTICE?

Every site is unique. Before the start of each project we prepare a health and safety plan to identify and manage risks for example site access and boundaries, vehicle turning, the presence of overhead or underground services, material delivery and storage. We also prepare a method statement setting out how each project will be constructed.

All our employees are provided with the appropriate protective equipment and training to ensure that all material and machinery can be handled and operated safely. Site inductions and refresher training is mandatory.

We employ an external safety advisor to direct and audit our health and safety systems to ensure that the correct procedures are being followed.

For additional reassurance, all our staff have been vetted with an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
