Kobito climbing course “Nolu”

Kobito climbing course Nolu features arches constructed from stainless steel and wood made from robinia. The course includes the giraffe’s road Nolu, which consists of four robinia palisades with varying heights, each with a diameter of 15cm. These palisades are arranged facing each other and slightly shifted. Additionally, there are three more robinia palisades with different heights, also facing each other and arranged slightly shifted.

The course also includes a stainless steel arch with a width of approximately 180cm and a height of approximately 165cm. This arch has a bending radius of approximately 90cm and features a vertical climbing net made of Hercules rope with a large mesh size of approximately 30x30cm. The net is connected using aluminium connectors.

Furthermore, there is a connecting balance and safety rope made of Hercules rope with a length of approximately 200cm. The course also includes a Kobito stage, which consists of the Kobito wall I5. This wall features a stainless steel arch with a width of approximately 180cm and a height of approximately 135cm, with a bending radius of approximately 90cm. Additionally, there is an HPL wall with a laterally arched door, a width of approximately 50cm, and two small squared windows with cross bars measuring approximately 18x18cm.

The Kobito wall G6 is also part of the course and includes a stainless steel arch with a width of approximately 180cm and a height of approximately 135cm, with a bending radius of approximately 90cm. This wall also features an HPL wall with a laterally arched door, a width of approximately 50cm, and five inclined climbing aids made of robinia.

To enhance the climbing experience, there are 11 parallel climbing ropes made of Hercules rope placed between and along the arches. Additionally, there is a linking rope harp made of Hercules rope with a length of approximately 200cm, connected using aluminium connectors.

The course also includes another stainless steel arch with a width of approximately 180cm and a height of approximately 165cm. This arch features a balance beam made of robinia and a safety rope made of Hercules rope with a length of approximately 200cm.

All components of the course are made in Germany. The arches are constructed using stainless steel tubes with a diameter of 101.6mm and a thickness of 3mm. The stainless steel surfaces are radiated with glass marbles to comply with environmental protection rules. The wooden parts are made from planed and chamfered robinia, and all wooden components are untreated. The ropes and nets are made from Hercules rope with 6 strands. The connection points between the net and rope are supported by specifically formed stainless steel forks and tensible stainless steel chains. All connecting parts are made of stainless steel or galvanized, and only self-locking nuts are used.

Please note that drying cracks may occur in all native hard woods, even after appropriate storage and professional treatment. Therefore, drying cracks do not warrant a warranty claim (cf supplementary sheet to the German Institute for Standardization EN 1176, Note on 4.2.7.6).
