Kobito climbing course “Kogu”

The Kobito climbing course Kogu features arches made of stainless steel and wood made from robinia.

There is an arch made of stainless steel with a width of approximately 180cm, a height of approximately 165cm, and a bending radius of approximately 90cm. It includes a balance beam made of robinia and a safety rope made of Hercules rope, with a length of approximately 200cm.

Additionally, there is a connecting vertical climbing net made of Hercules rope, with a length of approximately 200cm and a height of approximately 90cm. The net has large mesh size of approximately 30x30cm and connectors made of aluminium.

Another arch made of stainless steel has a width of approximately 127cm, a height of approximately 165cm, and a bending radius of approximately 63.5cm. This arch includes wall bars made of stainless steel.

There is also a connecting horizontal bar made of stainless steel, with a height of approximately 80cm and a width of approximately 150cm.

Lastly, there is an arch made of stainless steel with a width of approximately 180cm, a height of approximately 165cm, and a bending radius of approximately 90cm. It includes a rope made of PP-material and a safety rope made of Hercules rope, with a length of approximately 180cm.

All the arches are made in Germany using stainless steel tubes with a diameter of 101.6mm and a thickness of 3mm. The stainless steel surfaces are radiated with glass marbles to comply with environmental protection rules. The wooden parts are made of planed and chamfered robinia, and they are untreated. The ropes and nets are made of Hercules rope with 6 strands. The connection point between the net and rope is supported by specifically formed stainless steel forks and tensible stainless steel chains. All connecting parts are made of stainless steel or galvanized, and only self-locking nuts are used.

Please note that drying cracks are normal in all native hard woods, even after appropriate storage and professional treatment. Therefore, drying cracks do not qualify for a warranty claim (see supplementary sheet to the German Institute for Standardization EN 1176, Note on 4.2.7.6).
