Kobito chained balance beam
The Kobito balance beam consists of two arches made of stainless steel, with a width of approximately 180cm and a height of approximately 165cm. The bending radius of the arches is approximately 90cm. The balance beam itself is made of robinia wood and has a length of approximately 160cm. It is hung on chains, with one chain anchored to the ground. Additionally, there are two safety ropes made of Hercules rope.
All the arches are made of stainless steel tube, with a diameter of 101.6mm and a thickness of 3mm. The stainless steel surfaces are treated with glass marbles in accordance with environmental protection regulations. The wooden parts of the balance beam are made of planed and chamfered robinia wood. They are left untreated. The ropes used are made of Hercules rope with 6 strands. The connection point between the net/rope and the support posts is made using a specifically formed stainless steel fork and a tensible stainless steel chain. All connecting parts are made of stainless steel or galvanized, and only self-locking nuts are used.
It is important to note that drying cracks are normal in all native hard woods, even after proper storage and professional treatment. Therefore, any drying cracks do not qualify for a warranty claim. Please refer to the supplementary sheet from the German Institute for Standardization EN 1176 for more information on this matter.
