We were delighted to be tasked with designing, supplying, and installing a large new playground at Parade Gardens, in St Hellier Jersey. Parade Gardens is one of the largest, most used, and prominently located playgrounds on the island, and so a combination of special equipment and interesting design was required for this prestigious location.

The area was split into two zones, with an older aged area featuring more challenging equipment, and a toddler zone focused at younger children. The older age zone featured a range of exciting kit, incorporating a climbing net, 5 way swing, standing seesaw, embankment slide, jumping disks, and much more.

The toddler zone featured a centrepiece multiplay, hammock, selection of swings, springers, rope balance walks, and bridges, and ensured an exciting array of kit that will keep users entertained for many years to come, on repeated trips to the park.

The design took a landscape led approach, with planting, contours of the land, natural boulders, and mixed surfacing playing an important roll in achieving the desired finish. The surfacing was a mixutre of wet pour rubber, artificial grass, and TigerMulch surfacing, giving a variety of textures and finishes to this crucial element of the scheme,

We really loved working on this project, with a passionate,  highly engaged customer actively involved in the design and execution of the plans throughout.  Please get in touch today if you would like something similar in your park!
